The Chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission participated in the Stakeholder Forum of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP)

The Chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) has taken part in the  Stakeholder Forum of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP). The Forum is one of the most important events in the annual program of the Group. This year's forum was held on 18 September in the city of Brussels, Belgium.

The ERGP Forum is the meeting point for postal regulators, electronic services providers and  e-commerce sector representatives to discuss key topics that are essential for the review of the regulatory framework in the postal sector. The discussions focused on the future trends in the regulation of the postal services, the need for change in the scope and the role of the universal postal service as well as the transformation of the postal market under the influence of the e-commerce  and the development of  international services.

The stakeholders had the opportunity to express their views on the priorities in the work of ERGP which will be presented by means of drafts of the ERGP Medium Term Strategy 2020-2022 and the ERGP Work Programme for 2020.

Special attention was given to the discussion with the active participation of NRAs on the ERGP recommendations addressed to the European Commission. They should be taken into account in the review of the regulatory framework.

The stakeholders’ engagement is a contemporary tool for improving the quality of ERGP projects and communication policy.
